Outreach Opportunities Through Village Church

Village Table is a 501(c)3 nonprofit outreach of Village Church. Our mission is to unite and erase insignificance by meeting people’s physical and emotional needs so they will be open to addressing spiritual needs and accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Village Table distributes boxes of food once a month to over 150 families in the community around Village Church. Here’s how you can get involved:

  • On the second Saturday of each month, volunteers meet at 8:30 a.m. at the Village Outreach House to set up and then begin distributing the boxes of food. Distribution takes place between 9:00–11:30.

  • Each Tuesday morning before the second Saturday of the month, volunteers pick up food at East Alabama Food Bank in Auburn and then unload, sort, and organize food at the Village Outreach House.

  • Each Thursday morning before the second Saturday of the month, volunteers pick up food at Feeding the Valley in Columbus and then unload, sort, and organize food at the Village Outreach House.

Village Table is led by Sharon and Nick Jack, who truly have a heart for serving those in need, as well as a dedicated volunteer team. In addition, Village Table also provide emergency assistance as needed in our community.

Village Closet is a donation-based clothing ministry that serves to bless the community once a month and as needed on an emergency basis. We provide women's, men's, and children's clothing, along with hygiene items, diapers, bags, and more! Service opportunities include:

  • Every Wednesday evening from 6:00-7:00 p.m., volunteers meet at the Village Outreach House to help organize the clothing rooms, unpack donated items, pack up seasonal clothing, etc.

  • On the third Saturday of each month, Village Closet is open to the community. Volunteers meet at 8:30, and then the Closet opens its doors from 9:00-10:00 for any members of Village Church needing clothing or other items. The hours of 10:00-noon are reserved for appointments from our community. Between noon-2:00 p.m. is open to the public without appointment. Volunteers are needed to help shoppers finding clothing that meets their needs.

  • On the first Sunday of the month every other month, Village Closet accepts donated clothing.

Village Closet is led by Brandie Thomas and a team of dedicated volunteers whose hearts are focused on helping the community with not only their physical needs but also their spiritual needs.
